TEDxNaperville has announced it’s new adventures for this year’s conference! For those who are not familiar with them, Adventures are no-cost, mentally stimulating “adult field trips” with your fellow attendees to local hot spots throughout the western suburbs. Adventure signups take place at ticket purchase and are included in the price of your ticket.

Note: Adventure signups take place at ticket purchase. One adventure per ticket holder. Some adventures will sell out quicker than others, so make sure to purchase your tickets early to reserve a seat on your desired adventure. All adventures (except the Lake Geneva Canopy Tours) take place the morning of the conference. Detailed information on the exact times and meeting locations for your adventure will be emailed to you roughly a week before the adventure. 

Lake Geneva Canopy Tours

Attendee Spaces Available: 16

Zipline through trees in excess of 30mph, climb sky bridges, and explore exotic floating double helix stairways on your very own zipline canopy tour in Lake Geneva, WI the weekend before the conference.

NOTE: This Adventure takes place in Lake Geneva, WI the weekend before the conference. 

Only one spot available per paying TEDxNaperville ticket. (No guests or add-ons available.)


  • Location: Lake Geneva, Wisconsin (map)
  • When: Saturday, November 1 (the weekend BEFORE the conference)
  • Time: Attendees must arrive NO LATER THAN 1:30pm
  • Length: Zipline Tours will run from roughly 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Restrictions for this adventure:

  • Must strictly be between 70lbs and 250lbs
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Should not have a genuine fear of height
  • Must wear close-toed shoes

Solemn Oath Brewery

Enjoy a crash course into the amazing world of craft brewing from one of the area’s fastest growing and highest rated breweries. You’ll learn about the beer making process and culture of brewers directly from the men and women who are driving the craft brewing revolution. Sorry, but no beer tasting will be offered during this adventure.

Le Chocolat Du Bouchard

Explore this bastion of confectionery progress and excitement in a guided tour by founder Cathy Bouchard. Learn about the history and mystery of chocolate, including live demonstrations, surprising revelations, and of course, premium chocolate tasting. But be ready. These chocolates won’t be anything like you’ve experienced before.

Fermi Accelerator Laboratory
