Aurthur Zards

Co-founder and President of XNet Information Systems, for the past 16 years Arthur Zards has lead one of Chicagoland’s first and largest privately held ISP’s to become a leader in bringing advanced technology to the Naperville area. Recently his focus has been on creating viable models for small and mid-sized businesses to quickly adapt their current marketing strategies to embrace the potential offered by new media.

Arthur’s interest in developing the community led him to found the Silicon Prairie Social to support business development in Chicago’s suburban technology corridor. Outside of his executive pursuits Arthur enjoys carving Tiki Moai and jumping off mountains as an experienced paraglider.

Arthur is also a resident of Naperville, and an active volunteer for the Naperville Emergency Management Agency and a board member of the Naperville Citizen Corps.


His reason for hosting TEDxNaperville is simple, to share incredible stories from incredible people.

Ben BradleyKnown for wearing plaid and sweater vests before they were popular, Ben Bradley is managing director of Macon Raine, Inc. - a creative marketing agency.He is a graduate of the University of Iowa and was a member of the undergraduate Iowa Writerís Workshop. His interests include the intersection of technology and marketing. He frequently lectures his children on a variety of topics. Bradley was raised in Wheaton, Illinois and currently resides in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with his wife, two children and a purebred Latvian Goathound named Stella.

Exploring the interstices of art and industry, David Metcalfe has spent the last 11 years using his interest in the humanities to support forward thinking industry initiatives. From innovative market research in education technology and healthcare IT to developing new media strategies with XNet Information Systems, Davidís broad cultural understanding allows him to bring the fruits of culture to the corporate table.

David is active on both sides of the coin, experiencing the ebb and flow of industry as a marketing/ account liaison with XNet Information Systems and as Eminence Grise at MaconRaine while digging deeper into the roots of culture as Creative Director for the avant-garde critical theory journal The Absurdist Monthly Review and illustrating his own series of visual non sequiturs at The Eyeless Owl.
