Welcome to the New Digital Oppression
In the physical world, we express ourselves through the clothes we wear, our mannerisms, and forms of speech; all of which we are able to fully control and access. Online it’s a different story. Digital self-expression may appear to be under our control, but in fact, it’s third parties and government entities that define the methods of our expression. In this new world of digital oppression, data abuse itself is no longer the biggest problem, it’s the gates through which our expression is managed.
