Since the early days of the gender equality movement, a notion has persisted that the best way to increase rights for women is to focus on women. While not incorrect, this strategy is incomplete and it leaves out a major factor in achieving social, economic, and political equality for women. So how do we complete the picture of gender equality and truly make the world a level playing field for both men and women?
